Is it safe to type a password into this page?

What database does this check against?
Have I Been Pwned’s public Pwned Passwords database, a widely respected collection of billions of passwords exposed in real breaches, queried using its privacy-preserving k-anonymity method.
My password was found. What do I do right now?

My password was not found. Am I safe?
It is a good sign, not a guarantee. A password can be weak, reused or exposed in breaches that have not surfaced yet. Unique passwords plus MFA is the real protection.
Can you check my email address for breaches too?
Password checks run here anonymously. Email-address exposure is different, and it is something we review with you properly as part of an account security checkup, including business domains.
Can you check my whole company’s exposure?
